When Nnaalinnya Christine Agnes Nabaloga brought the cake, Ssemakookiro initially ignored it, while those around him, including Katikkiro Charles Peter Mayiga and the Nnaabagereka of Buganda, Queen Sylvia Nagginda Luswata, picked their portions.

Ssemakookiro eventually picked up a piece, but he wasn’t seen eating it. Meanwhile, Nabaloga took away the cake just as Joyce Nabbosa Ssebugwawo, the Minister of State for ICT, raised her hand to take a portion. This moment also caught the attention of netizens.
