Eddy Kenzo, Phiona Nyamutoro, Rema Namakula, and Dr. Hamza Sebunya recently came together for a special occasion.
The four were seen celebrating the birthday of Maya, Kenzo’s eldest daughter, as shared in a series of pictures on social media. Kenzo, a Grammy-nominated artist, shares Maya with Tracy Nabatanzi, and he also has another daughter, Aamal, with his ex, Rema Namakula.
The heartfelt celebration gained more attention when Phiona Nyamutoro, the State Minister for Minerals, penned a touching birthday message to Maya, who just turned 13. Nyamutoro’s affectionate tribute showcased her close bond with Maya, further affirming her beloved role as a stepmother.
Nyamutoro reminisced about the special bond they have shared since 2020, when Maya was just 9 years old.
She wrote: “It feels like just yesterday when you were a 9-year-old insisting that we rock the same hairstyle during holidays, to a whole teenager today with her own fad. I never imagined I would find a kindred spirit in a child! Forever blessed and grateful to have you as an amazing big sister and my first firefighter. May life to you be as graceful as you are. Happy birthday, Ka Mirembe kange.”
Interestingly, while Eddy Kenzo and Dr. Hamza Sebunya have been spotted in public before, it’s rare for Kenzo and Rema to be seen together since their highly publicised breakup. This is also the first time that both couples have been seen sharing photos while spending time together publicly.
