Bloody! Several Feared Dead As Lorry, Private Car Collide!

Several people have tragically lost their lives following a severe accident along the Thika Superhighway, in the Ndarugo area.

The Wednesday, October 30 incident occurred when a lorry collided with an alleged new private Nissan car.

The lorry overturned and blocked multiple lanes, leading to a significant traffic backup that extended to High Point.

Photos shared online captured shocked bystanders gathering around the crash site, with many expressing disbelief at the devastation.

Some eyewitnesses have suggested that another vehicle had spilt an unidentified substance on the road earlier, potentially contributing to the treacherous driving conditions.

However, authorities at the scene are yet to confirm the exact cause of the collision.

Kenyans responded swiftly to the news on social media, urging drivers to be careful on the roads and frustration over frequent accidents in the country.

How Kenyans responded to Thika Road accident

Rachel Kamau said: “This is terrible we have stayed in the jam but anyway may our good Lord keep us safe and console the family members I have witnessed it and it’s terrible.”

@BrianNjoro68008 claimed: “Nguvu za December zimeanza mapema sana…God protect us all.”

@Ratemo__kevin said: “So bad stay safe on the roads.”

P-tah Githurai advised: “If you go to and from work daily by vehicle, always say a prayer. It’s not a kawaida thing.”

 

According to the police, the incident began when a motorbike merging onto the highway collided with another motorbike travelling toward Narok.

Following the impact, both motorbikes lost control and crashed into a Trans Luxury Sacco matatu.
