Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo Uzeiye, the Senior Presidential Advisor on Political Affairs and Manager of the Office of the National Chairman-NRM, has called on Ugandans, especially the Bazzukulu, to actively participate in the ongoing update of the National Voters’ Register.

The exercise, running from January 20 to February 10, 2025, is a key step in preparing for the 2026 General Elections.

Hajjat Namyalo highlighted the importance of this process, describing it as essential for strengthening democracy and ensuring every eligible citizen’s voice is heard in leadership decisions.

“This is your chance to exercise your right and duty by ensuring your name is correctly listed in the voters’ register. This process lays the foundation for free, fair, and credible elections,” she said.

She reminded citizens that the exercise is open to anyone who has turned 18, those who have changed their residence, or those switching polling stations. She also encouraged first-time voters, especially the youth, to register and actively contribute to shaping Uganda’s future.
