Road To Economic Transformation: ONC’s Hajjat Namyalo Takes Empowerment Boost To Soroti

By Frank Kamuntu

The people of Teso are set to receive a major economic boost as the Office of the National Chairman (ONC), under the leadership of Hajat Hadijah Namyalo, rolls out its Empowerment Program in Soroti District. The initiative, aimed at fostering self-reliance and economic independence, will see the distribution of essential tools and equipment to local groups and individuals. The much-anticipated event is scheduled for February 27, 2025, at the Katine Sub-county Headquarters.

With a focus on sustainable development, the ONC Empowerment Program has been instrumental in transforming livelihoods across Uganda. By equipping beneficiaries with resources tailored to their economic needs, the initiative empowers communities to build businesses, enhance productivity, and break free from economic constraints. Hajat Hadijah Namyalo, known for her hands-on leadership, will personally oversee the distribution, reinforcing the government’s commitment to grassroots development.

Beyond its economic impact, the event will also serve as a platform for celebration and unity. A vibrant entertainment lineup featuring top Ugandan artists such as Gravity Omutujju, Josh Rush, Vin Jaguar, and Chan Lee promises to energize the crowd. Attendees will also enjoy refreshments, creating a festive atmosphere as they embrace the program’s benefits.

This initiative aligns with President Yoweri Museveni’s vision of economic self-sufficiency through empowerment and wealth creation. The ONC Empowerment Outreach seeks to equip communities with the necessary resources and skills to foster self-reliance, job creation, and economic transformation.

Local leaders and residents have welcomed the initiative with enthusiasm, anticipating that the ONC program will provide a much-needed boost to the Teso region.

Now, as Uganda moves toward 2026, the ONC’s empowerment drive continues to spread across the country, reinforcing the TovaKuMain2026 campaign, which emphasizes economic progress and national development.
