In the spirit of compassion, unity, and generosity, the Office of the NRM National Chairman (ONC) has launched a special Ramadan initiative to support the Muslim community during the holy month of fasting.

Recognizing the sacrifices and devotion that come with Ramadan, the ONC has rolled out a nationwide food distribution campaign aimed at easing the burden on fasting families.

As part of this initiative, the ONC team kicks off the distribution process in Wakiso District, with plans to extend the effort to other regions across Uganda. This large-scale operation ensures that more Muslim families receive essential food items to sustain them throughout the fasting period.

Essential Food Relief for Ramadan

The food packages being distributed include a variety of staple foods and nutritious essentials, ensuring that recipients have access to sufficient nourishment as they break their fast each evening. The food items include:

✔️ Rice
✔️ Posho
✔️ Spaghetti
✔️ Sugar
✔️ Beans
✔️ Cooking oil
✔️ Milk
✔️ Other essential food commodities

These contributions are aimed at supporting vulnerable families and promoting a spirit of sharing and brotherhood during this sacred month.

The Ramadan Giveaway is more than just a food distribution program—it is a gesture of solidarity and goodwill, emphasizing the ONC’s dedication to fostering unity and supporting religious communities. The initiative is a testament to the NRM government’s continued efforts to uplift communities and ensure that no one is left behind during such significant observances.

With Ramadan being a time of prayer, fasting, and giving, the ONC’s charitable outreach aligns with the values of compassion, care, and community service that define this holy month.

As the distribution expands beyond Wakiso, more regions across Uganda will benefit from this gesture of kindness, bringing relief and joy to countless Muslim families. The ONC team has urged beneficiaries to stay updated as the program continues to reach different districts in the coming days.

By providing food relief, the ONC not only supports fasting Muslims but also reinforces the importance of unity and coexistence in Ugandan society.
