Uganda’s Vice President, Jessica Alupo, is well known in the country’s politics. However, her husband, Peter Abeine, keeps a low profile despite his achievements. Many people do not know much about him, but he has played an important role in Alupo’s success.
Peter Abeine has worked in government for many years. He was first in the Ministry of Defence and later moved to the Ministry of Education. It was in the Education Ministry that he met Jessica Alupo when she was serving as Minister of Education. Their relationship grew, and they later got married.
Abeine is also known for his strong financial skills. Many believe he has helped Alupo financially, especially during her political campaigns.
He is said to have supported her return to Parliament and even played a role in her becoming Vice President. His financial support and advice have been valuable in her political journey.
In June 2022, Alupo introduced Abeine to the public during a mass organized by the Archdiocese of Mbarara Development Association (AMDA) at Kitante Primary School in Kampala. Many Ugandans saw him for the first time. He also spoke at the event, encouraging love and unity among the people.
He contributed money to support church projects, showing his commitment to community work.
Peter Abeine may not be in the spotlight like his wife, but he has been successful in his own way. His work in government, financial knowledge, and support for Alupo’s political career have played a big role in shaping their journey.
