By Frank Kamuntu

In another landscape victory, Parental Care Primary and Nursery School, Bushenyi has scooped Inter Schools Poetry and Debate Competition, held at St Leo’s Kyegobe in Fort Portal City.

This comes just a few months after this same School ‘roasted’ superpowers in Uganda’s academic arena to win the National Speech and Debate Competition 2023 for both Junior and Secondary Schools that was held at the Parliament of Uganda earlier this year.

Yesterday’s competition that was held at different levels from University to Primary, the debate was organized by the Rwenzori Debate Forum in conjunction with Kawanda Agricultural Research Institute under the theme; Food Insecurity, Ending Hunger and Poverty in Uganda.

Shortly after the hot battle between various schools, Parental Care was handed Green Circle Primary School in the finals which it ousted to win the competition that attracted over ten primary schools.

Seeking a comment from Mr. Bright Beyongyera a trainer and a teacher at Parental Care Bushenyi, Swift Daily News learnt that the school took a team of 22 pupils and they competed with over 10 schools in poetry, debate, and public speaking.

”It’s a moment of pomp and glamor for us as Parental Care, Year in and Year out our performance has been on top notch. I want to assure our dear parents that their children are in safe hands and they should bring more students we do what we know best to make them capable and unique citizens,” Mr Bright told this site.
