In a thunderous affirmation of trust and legacy, Mafabi Asha Nabulo has been nominated unopposed as the NRM Woman MP Flag Bearer for Sironko District—a political triumph echoing through the hills of Bugisu like a revolution quietly won.
This landmark moment cements Asha’s rising stature not just as a politician, but as the undisputed custodian of a family legacy deeply rooted in service, loyalty, and people-first leadership.
“This victory isn’t mine alone,” she said with characteristic humility. “It belongs to the people of Sironko. Their belief in continued service, honest leadership, and empowerment has made this possible.”
Her unopposed nomination is more than political convenience—it is a resounding mandate, a signal that the people of Sironko want no alternative. Her tenure from 2021 to 2025, marked by visible service and engagement, clearly earned her the people’s unwavering trust.
But Asha’s story is not one of self-made fortune. Her leadership ethos was forged in the shadow of a local political titan: her father, Mr. Mafabi Sulaiman Lumolo, the long-serving interim chairman of Sironko District, recently re-elected with near-unanimous support. For over two decades, Chairman Mafabi has been the north star of Sironko’s political compass—a legacy Asha now proudly extends.
“When one has served and the community trusts you,” she said, “they will automatically second you. They will front you without hesitation. I learned this from watching my father.”
