After fulfilling all the key requirements and paying the official nomination fees, Eng. Asimwe has now moved from speculation to official candidature — bringing with him a bold, inclusive, and development-oriented agenda.

Eng. Asimwe has been a driving force in Uganda’s oil and gas sector, credited with facilitating the creation of over 15,000 jobs — empowering thousands of families and reshaping the economic landscape. His technical expertise and strategic leadership have opened opportunities in both rural and urban communities.
From upgrading road networks to supporting the development of sports facilities and airports, Asimwe has been a key player in bringing essential services closer to the people. He has also launched Space Clubs in schools, a pioneering initiative introducing young learners to science, technology, and space exploration — with a strong focus on digital innovation.
Through capacity building programs and ideological orientation across institutions, he has nurtured a new generation of patriotic youth leaders aligned with national values and the NRM’s ideological foundation.
