A pedestrian has died following a road traffic crash involving the Minister for Lands, Housing and Urban Development, Judith Nabakooba, along the Kampala–Masaka Highway.

According to Michael Kananura, spokesperson of the Directorate of Traffic and Road Safety, the accident occurred on the morning of April 1, 2026, at around 8:30 AM at Kibukula Swamp in Mpigi District.

The crash involved a government vehicle, a Toyota Land Cruiser Prado, and a pedestrian identified as Batera Flavia, a resident of Kyengera, who died on the spot.
