The Kyabazinga of Busoga Kingdom William Wilberforce Gabula IV has jumped out of the circle of those battling cold nights including Tooro Kingdom’s Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV, after naming a one Jovia Mutesi as the maama Busoga.
The announcement was made on Thursday by the Busoga Kingdom Prime Minister Dr. Joseph Muvawala saying that Mutesi is the inhebantu (Queen) of Busoga.
Ofcourse the above news has since kicked Basoga into excitement mode and our snoops have started hunting more details about this luckiest Mutesi where as on there other side, Batooro have since gone into praying and fasting for their King to also make a “statement” before this year ends.
The declaration according to Muvawala follows the “just concluded traditional ceremonies earlier in the day that were successfully held”.
“With now the traditional ceremonies out of the way, arrangements are underway for the Isebantu to present his dear wife to Christ’s Cathedral Bugembe on Saturday 18th November 2023 for the celebration of Holy Matrimony and also unveil the inhebantu to the people of Busoga and the world at large,” noted Muvawala.
Muvawala congratulated Nadiope on finding a wife and said the move is in line with the Busoga culture.
“This is a true reflection of how cultured our king and the queen are. As a person just like other Basoga adherents of the kingdom, I’m satisfied that Busoga’s missing link has finally been found,” Muvawala says. He appealed to the Basoga and the public to keep the king and queen in their prayers for ‘God/Allah to bless this new union that Busoga has been longing for,” said Muvawala.
