Princess of Wales Kate Middleton has been admitted to hospital after undergoing an ‘abdominal surgery’ just hours after the monarchy revealed that King Charles III is also heading to hospital any time soon over prostate enlargement.
In a statement released on Prince Willian and Princess Kate’s official Instagram page, the mother of three went under the knife to deal with something in her gut.

The press release noted that the surgery was successful and that the royal will be bedridden for two weeks.
Part of the statement read: “Based on the current medical advice, she is unlikely to return to public duties until after Easter. The Princess of Wales appreciates the interest this statement will generate. She hopes that the public will maintain as much normality for her children as much as possible, and her wish is that her personal medical information remains private.”
The statement also added an apology on behalf of Kate for missing out on her pre-planned engagements.
“She looks forward to reinstating as many as possible,” added the statement.

Elsewhere, Prince William and his wife, Kate, in 2022, headed the United States on their first visit in eight years in their inaugural trip as Prince and Princess of Wales.
The three-day visit to the northeastern city of Boston culminated with a star-studded ceremony for William’s Earthshot Prize initiative to tackle climate change.
The trip was the most high-profile since 40-year-old William became heir to the throne when his father succeeded Queen Elizabeth II to become King Charles III.
