On Sunday afternoon, the Islamic Republic of Iran, saw a triumphant entry of 70 Ugandan students who will be studying for free at Ahlul-bayt International University, in the country’s capital Tehran, on scholarships that were lobbied by the mighty Office of the National Chairman (ONC) Kyambogo headed by Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo.
According to Mr Hakim Kyeswa, head of digital media at ONC who accompanied these students, they were received at the Airport by Dr. Ba Hemmat, the Head of Ahlul-bayt University Culture Department.
”Yes, I confirm the team has arrived safely and received a warm welcome here in Iran. Later, they will have a welcoming dinner but all this aside, they have applauded ONC manager Hajjat Namyalo for sourcing for them this mega opportunity,” confirmed Mr Hakim Kyeswa before he switched to an interview with Al Jazeera TV channel.
In the interview, Kyeswa noted that the trip was so smooth since they had been receiving swift assistance from the Ugandan and Iranian embassies.
He noted that this scholarship opportunity from the Iranian government will boost good relations between the two countries [Uganda-Iran] and tighten cooperation that has existed since the Islamic revolution of the 1970s.
Under these scholarships, students will receive free accommodation and healthcare, from the Islamic Republic of Iran for Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctorate programs.

3. Architectural engineering (Structure)
⚫ Masters and Doctorate Level
1. Business Management
2. Mechatronics Engineering
3. Civil Engineering
4. Islamic Economics
5. History of Islamic Civilization
6. Women Studies
7. International Relations
8. Criminal Law and Criminology
9. Social Communication Sciences
10. Private Law
11. The History of Islamic Culture and Civilization
12. Women’s Studies
13. Persian Language and Literature
14. Philosophy and Islamic Theology (KALAM).
This afternoon, 70 Ugandan students who benefited from the ONC Scholarship program arrived safely at Ahlul-bayt International University, Tehran, Iran.
At the Airport, we were received by Dr. Ba Hemmat, the Head of the University culture department.
