Mzee Amos Kaguta Raised A Dynasty Of Disciplined Giants –Mbarara NRM Boss Prosper Kururagire Drops Bombshell Tribute!

By Frank Kamuntu

Prosper Tuhaise Kururagire, the influential Chairman of the mighty National Resistance Movement (NRM) party, has paid glowing tribute to the late Mzee Amos Kaguta — father of President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni — describing him as “the root of a disciplined and visionary family that continues to serve Uganda with unmatched dedication.”

In his heartfelt tribute, Prosper praised Mzee Kaguta for instilling strong moral values and patriotism in his children, including President Museveni, Gen Salim Saleh, and Nzeire Sedrack. This foundation has since extended to his grandchildren, like Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba.

“The discipline, humility, and servant leadership that define the first family today — especially in Museveni, Saleh, and Nzeire — are all fruits of Mzee Kaguta’s careful parenting,” Prosper said. “Uganda owes this man great respect, I wish the country can find away they can in a special way recognize this fallen hero, we can get a special day and dedicate it to him…to just celebrate him like it is in South Korea where the father of Kim Jong-un is till date celebrated like indeed a real hero.”

From Subordinate To Supporter

Prosper, a celebrated businessman and senior NRM mobilizer often referred to as Western Uganda’s “Unbwogable Tycoon,” shared personal anecdotes of his time working under Gen Saleh, during which Nzeire Sedrack served as his subordinate. Despite being a member of the First Family, Prosper recalls Nzeire’s remarkable humility and professionalism.

“I was Nzeire’s supervisor on that project,” he recounted. “He never once acted entitled. Instead, he was respectful, hardworking, and loyal. That level of discipline can only come from a strong family foundation.”

It is this respect and admiration for the values Mzee Kaguta passed on that drives Prosper’s unwavering commitment to the NRM cause, as he continues to mobilize support across the region ahead of the 2026 general elections.

Rallying Behind Nzeire For NRM CEC

Currently, Nzeire Sedrack is a top contender for the NRM’s Central Executive Committee (CEC) seat for Western Uganda, and with powerful endorsements from grassroots mobilizers like Prosper Kururagire, political observers predict a landslide victory.

“We are tired of leaders who are snoring on duty,” Prosper said. “Western Uganda deserves a representative in CEC who knows the people, walks with them, and works for them. That man is Nzeire.”

Prosper has launched a region-wide campaign to galvanize support for both President Museveni’s 2026 bid and Nzeire’s CEC campaign, emphasizing service delivery, continuity, and the preservation of NRM’s founding values.

Therefore, as 2026 draws nearer, Prosper Kururagire’s voice is expected to grow even louder in the NRM political theatre. His passionate defense of the Museveni legacy, his storied track record as a businessman, and his unshakable loyalty to the party place him at the center of Western Uganda’s political mobilization efforts.

Through it all, he insists, the guiding light remains the character and values instilled by Mzee Amos Kaguta — a father whose impact on Uganda continues to be felt through his sons and grandsons.

“Mzee Kaguta didn’t just raise a president,” Prosper concluded. “He raised a generation of patriots. And for that, we remain forever grateful.”
