Prominent NRM leader and aspiring National Vice Chairman for Central Region, Hakim Kyeswa, has issued a strong and heartfelt statement following the just-concluded NRM Parliamentary primaries, congratulating all victorious candidates while urging unity and reconciliation across the party.
In his message titled “Congratulations to All NRM Primary Winners & A Message of Unity,” Kyeswa commended the winners of both constituency and District Woman MP primaries across the country, describing their success as a clear reflection of the people’s trust, resilience, and the candidates’ tireless commitment to service.
“Your victory is a testament to your hard work, dedication, and the trust the people have placed in you,” Kyeswa noted, while encouraging flag bearers to engage and reconcile with their former competitors for the greater good of the party.
He extended particular appreciation to those who contested but did not win, saluting their spirit of patriotism and dedication to the NRM’s cause. “This is not the end of your journey,” Kyeswa reminded them. “Your contributions remain invaluable.”
In a firm and principled tone, Kyeswa also condemned reports of violence and electoral malpractice during the primaries, reiterating that the NRM must remain a champion of peace, democracy, and mutual respect. He called for calm, dialogue, and unity as the party enters the general elections phase.
Looking ahead, Kyeswa reaffirmed his commitment to offering transformative leadership as he vies for the position of NRM National Vice Chairman for Central Region. If elected, he pledged to deliver a strategic plan to the party’s Central Executive Committee (CEC) that focuses on:
- Sufficient funding for candidates
- Effective reconciliation strategies among members
- Robust grassroots mobilization to secure general election victories
“Together, we can build a stronger, more inclusive NRM that delivers for the people,” he emphasized.
Kyeswa’s rallying call ended with a bold affirmation of collective purpose:
“Let us unite for our generational cause—Forward with NRM! Nothing For Us Without Us.”
As the NRM gears up for the 2026 general elections, Kyeswa’s message stands as a timely reminder of the need for internal cohesion, strategic planning, and a renewed spirit of service within Uganda’s ruling party.
