“We Want Tyson-Style Knockouts!”-Namyalo Roars As She Pours Millions Into Kanaabe’s Bloody Showdown With Fearless Bulaabe

By Frank Kamuntu

Senior Presidential Advisor and head of the Office of the National Chairman (ONC), Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo Uzeiye, has thrown her weight behind rising Ugandan boxing star Alex Kanaabe, purchasing tickets worth over UGX 4 million ahead of his much-anticipated Uganda Boxing Champions League Week 7 bout set for Saturday, July 26, 2025, at MTN Arena, Lugogo.

Hajjat Namyalo is no stranger to promoting youth empowerment and sports development. She made the big-ticket purchase in a show of confidence and encouragement for Kanaabe, who will be squaring off with formidable opponent Neric Bulaabe in what is expected to be a fiery clash.

“We want knockouts — Tyson style! Finish it in under a minute,” Hajjat Namyalo quipped during a press interaction at the ONC offices in Kyambogo.

Youth Empowerment Through Sports

The ONC boss, who was also seen breaking a sweat alongside boxers and demonstrating a few tactical moves, emphasized the importance of using sports as a tool for youth engagement, talent development, and national pride.

“Our youth don’t need handouts. They need support, structure, and opportunities to shine. Kanaabe is proof that discipline, focus, and talent can take you far,” she said.

Namyalo’s contribution is part of a broader commitment to uplift young Ugandans through fitness, entrepreneurship, and skills development — a central tenet of her “Jajja Tova Ku Main” campaign aimed at mobilizing support for President Yoweri Museveni’s ongoing youth-focused initiatives.

Uganda Boxing Champions League Heats Up

The Uganda Boxing Champions League has steadily gained traction nationwide, drawing in big names, bigger crowds, and enthusiastic sponsors. Saturday’s showdown at MTN Arena, Lugogo, promises high-intensity action as Alex Kanaabe, currently one of the most talked-about boxers on the local circuit, prepares to make a statement in the ring.

The fight is part of the Week 7 lineup, and analysts are already predicting fireworks given Kanaabe’s recent winning streak and Bulaabe’s aggressive ring style.

With Hajjat Namyalo’s public show of support, ticket sales have surged, and event organizers have issued a sell-out warning for Saturday night’s bout.

Fans are encouraged to grab tickets early and witness what could be a defining moment for Uganda’s boxing scene.

The Message is Clear: Knockouts, Not Handouts

As Hajjat Namyalo continues to champion youth empowerment through tangible support, her backing of Kanaabe sends a strong message — Uganda’s talent deserves investment and spotlight.
