With just days to go before the highly anticipated NRM Delegates Conference, aspiring NRM Vice Chairperson for the Central Region, Hakim Kyeswa, has delivered a heartfelt message to party members and supporters, emphasizing unity, grassroots strength, and the urgent need for a new chapter within the party.
In a powerful statement shared with fellow NRM members and supporters, Kyeswa reflected on the journey of his campaign—from rural villages to urban centers—expressing gratitude for the overwhelming support and warm reception he has received.
“From village to town, you’ve welcomed us, rallied behind this cause, and shown that the spirit of a stronger NRM lives in all of us,” he said. “To those in areas we haven’t yet reached—keep the fire burning. You are the true ambassadors of this party’s future.”
Kyeswa made it clear that his campaign is not centered on personal ambition but is rooted in a collective desire to see the NRM renewed and revitalized from the ground up.
“This mission was never about me,” he stated. “The NRM we want won’t be built by one person. It will be built by us, together… no shortcuts, no empty words, no handouts—just real commitment from those who truly love this party.”
He also took aim at the status quo, calling for an end to what he described as “the same old games” of fading promises and stalled momentum. In their place, he urged for “fresh voices, action, and a party that works for its people, not just a few.”
As delegates prepare to convene, Kyeswa’s message strikes a tone of resolve and unity.
“Let’s move forward—not for positions or favors, but for an NRM we can all be proud of.”
He closed his statement with a rallying call that has come to define his campaign: “Nothing for us without us.”
Kyeswa is contesting for the position of NRM Vice Chairperson, Central Region, a role critical to shaping the party’s future direction in one of Uganda’s most politically significant regions.
The NRM Delegates Conference is expected to draw thousands of party members from across the country, with leadership elections playing a central role in setting the tone for the party’s future.
