Sheema District – In a renewed effort to empower the young generation with leadership and strategic development skills, Mr. Muhumuza Micheal Kush, Youth Leader for Sheema District with his entire leadership team, has organized a one-day Youth Workshop and Mentorship Session in collaboration with Sheema Youth Leadership.

The landmark event, themed “Empowering Youth Leadership through Strategic Planning and Networking,” will take place on 18th October 2025 at Clinka Gardens, Kabwohe–Sheema, opposite Petrol City, starting at 9:00 AM.

According to Muhumuza Micheal Kush, the convenor and lead organizer, the workshop seeks to shape a generation of “useful youth” — individuals who are not only ambitious but also strategically positioned to contribute to national development through innovation, planning, and unity.

“This initiative is meant to prepare our young people to become focused, organized, and impactful leaders within their communities and beyond,” said Muhumuza, emphasizing that the session will serve as a mentorship platform for all youth leaders across Sheema.

The workshop will feature sessions on:

  • Goal setting and planning
  • Career exploration and development
  • Time management and organizational efficacy
  • Networking and relationship building
  • Launching President Museveni’s Mobilization Campaign in Sheema District

The event will host Hon. Tumwebaze Mwine, NRM Flagbearer and Youth MP for Western Uganda, together with Hon. Ampaire Diana Kampe, National Female Youth MP, as guest speakers. Both are expected to share insights on effective youth engagement, leadership dynamics, and participatory governance.

Adding prominence to the event, Prof. Ephraim Kamuntu, former Minister and current Sheema South NRM Flagbearer, will attend as a special guest, alongside Hon. Adrine Katusiime Mwebesa, Woman MP for Sheema District, and Hon. Dr. Elioda Tumwesigye, former Minister and NRM Flagbearer for Sheema North.

The gathering is expected to attract hundreds of youth leaders, community influencers, and development-minded individuals from across Sheema Municipality, all united by a shared commitment to nurture leadership excellence and community transformation.
