Four people have lost their lives following a fatal road accident that occurred this evening along the Masindi–Hoima Road in Masindi Town.
According to eyewitnesses at the scene, the accident involved a motor vehicle and two motorcycles. The vehicle, reportedly moving at high speed, is said to have lost control before veering off its lane and striking three individuals.
Two of the victims were riding on motorcycles at the time of the incident, while the third was a pedestrian walking along the roadside. The impact was severe, leaving all three victims dead on the spot.
The driver of the vehicle also died instantly as a result of the crash, bringing the total number of fatalities to four.
Authorities have yet to release an official statement regarding the incident, and investigations into the exact cause of the crash are expected to begin.
