In a compelling demonstration of corporate benevolence and community solidarity, the Victoria Group of Companies on Friday marked Eid celebrations with a significant humanitarian outreach, donating relief aid to Muslim communities in Naminya and Bujowali villages, Jinja.
The donation, aimed at supporting more than 1,000 residents as they concluded the holy month of Ramadan, comprised essential food items including sacks of rice, beans, and sugar, the latter being a flagship product manufactured by Victoria Sugar, a subsidiary under the Group.
While officiating the handover, Mr. Simon Mukose, Operations Manager at Victoria Nile Plastics Ltd, represented the conglomerate and conveyed warm Eid congratulations to the beneficiaries. He commended the Muslim faithful for their spiritual discipline throughout the fasting period and encouraged them to sustain the virtues of generosity, patience, and moral uprightness cultivated during Ramadan season.
Mukose emphasized that the gesture was not merely charitable, but reflective of the Group’s enduring philosophy of community integration and shared prosperity.
Local leaders and residents expressed profound gratitude to the Victoria Group, applauding its consistent efforts in uplifting surrounding communities. Beyond relief donations, the company was recognized for its role in employment creation, particularly for youth within the region, a contribution that continues to bolster household incomes and local economic resilience.
