It was a night of glitz, glamour, and pure Ugandan pride on Saturday as Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo Uzeiye, the Manager of the Office of the National Chairman (ONC)–Kyambogo, emerged as the evening’s star at Navio’s first-ever Music Orchestra Concert at the Kampala Serena Hotel. The event marked a decade of dominance for Uganda’s hip-hop icon Daniel Kigozi, popularly known as Navio.
Hajjat Namyalo, fondly called Chief Muzzukulu, lit up the night with her charismatic presence and infectious energy, captivating both the audience and cameras alike. Having recently rallied support for the hip-hop legend, she continued to demonstrate her unwavering commitment to uplifting Uganda’s creative youth.
The highlight of the evening was when Hajjat was invited to lead the audience in singing Happy Birthday to one of the guests. Her sweet, melodious voice mesmerized everyone in the Serena auditorium, revealing a hidden talent that left many in awe.
As Navio delivered a groundbreaking fusion of live orchestral instrumentation and Ugandan rap, Hajjat’s enthusiasm and engagement became the heartbeat of the event. She was seen vibing to hits like Njogereza, Ngalo, and Nawuliranga, drawing cheers and applause from fans across the room.
The concert also featured performances from some of Uganda’s finest artists, including Benon of Swangz Avenue, Michael Viboyo, The Mith, Big Trill, Babaluku, Eddy Kenzo, Cindy Sanyu, and Levixone, but it was Hajjat Namyalo’s presence that consistently stole the show.
Beyond the music, the night symbolized unity, empowerment, and the celebration of Ugandan talent—a message Hajjat Namyalo embodies through her continued support of the Bazzukulu and the country’s creative industry under Jajja H.E. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni’s vision.
