The Manager of the Office of the National Chairman (ONC) and Senior Presidential Advisor on Political Affairs, Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo Uzeiye, has today spent it engaging directly with the people of Hoima, meeting vendors, youth, and factory workers to listen to their concerns and challenges.

In her first stop at Hoima Central Market, Hajjat Namyalo interacted with vendors who openly shared grievances ranging from heavy taxation, poor infrastructure, and alleged corruption within the city council. The vendors decried excessive local government levies, including monthly stall fees of up to Shs 15,000, which they claim are collected without receipts, raising suspicions of mismanagement.

“The market has no proper parking space and floods whenever it rains. Yet we are charged heavily without any accountability,” one of the vendors lamented.

In response, Hajjat Namyalo condemned the reported exploitation of vendors, warning that such greed from some local leaders was tainting the image of government and discouraging support for the NRM party.

“People are losing trust in the NRM not because of President Museveni, but because of these selfish local officials who milk the poor instead of serving them,” Namyalo said as the crowd cheered and chanted in agreement.

Several vendors praised Namyalo for her courage and hands-on leadership, saying her name had long been known in Hoima because of her efforts to empower Museveni’s Bazzukulu (grandchildren). They described her as a leader who “acts, not just talks,” noting that she stands out among many politicians who only seek personal gain.

From Hoima City, Hajjat Namyalo proceeded to Kizirafumbi Market in Kikuube district, where she continued her engagement with traders, rallying them to remain firm in their support for President Museveni and the NRM as the country heads toward the 2026 general elections. She encouraged them to stay united and organized so that they can easily access empowerment opportunities from government programs.

Later in the day, the ONC boss made a stop at Hoima Sugar Factory also in Kikuube, where she met factory workers who shared their frustrations about being left out of government programs such as Emyooga and the Parish Development Model (PDM). The workers explained that, despite their hard work, they had not benefited from any empowerment initiatives.

Hajjat Namyalo assured them that she would personally follow up on the matter, pledging to forward their outcry to the President to ensure the factory workers also access support.

“Through Jajja Museveni’s empowerment initiatives, we shall make sure you, too, get programs that uplift your lives. You deserve to start small income-generating projects alongside your salaries,” she told them.

She urged the workers to get organized and demand their share of the government’s empowerment programs, emphasizing that “this is the time for the Bazzukulu to benefit from their government.”

Throughout her engagements, Hajjat Namyalo encouraged the people of Hoima and Kikuube to remain hopeful and continue supporting President Museveni, whom she described as “the only leader with a true heart for the youth and for Uganda.”

Her visit was received with excitement and renewed optimism, with many residents describing it as a timely intervention that reignited their faith in government responsiveness.
