Chaos In Ggaba! Drunk Driver Crashes Into Multiple Vehicles As Okello’s Murder Trial Kicks Off!

Traffic was briefly brought to a standstill in Ggaba after a suspected drunk driver rammed into multiple vehicles, leaving a trail of destruction and panic among motorists.

According to eyewitnesses, the driver, who appeared to be under the influence of alcohol, lost control of the vehicle and crashed into several cars along the busy Ggaba road. No fatalities have been confirmed so far, though property damage was reported.

Police officers from Ggaba responded swiftly to the scene and apprehended the suspect, who is now in custody. Authorities say the driver will record a formal statement as investigations into the incident get underway.

Traffic police have since condemned reckless driving and reiterated calls for motorists to avoid driving under the influence, warning that such behavior continues to endanger lives on Uganda’s roads.

The incident comes as the area remains under heightened public attention due to ongoing court proceedings related to the murder of four children at a local early childhood centre in Ggaba. The hearing resumed today at Ggaba Community Church grounds in a public session.

The prime suspect in that case, Christopher Okello Onyum, has already taken the stand. Prosecutors have indicated that at least five witnesses are expected to testify as the case progresses.

Authorities have urged the public to remain calm and cooperative as both investigations continue.
