The Office of the National Chairman (ONC), under the leadership of Manager and Senior Presidential Advisor on Political Affairs Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo Uzeiye, has continued its nationwide Eid al-Adha outreach campaign by distributing sacrificial cows and food packages to Muslim communities across Kampala.
The donation exercise, which officially kicked off yesterday at Masjid Noor in Kawaala, continued today in Makindye Division and Kiguli, Kisenyi II, where hundreds of residents turned up to welcome Hajjat Namyalo, popularly known as “Chief Muzzukulu.”
The initiative, carried out on behalf of President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, aims to support vulnerable Muslim families during the Eid al-Adha celebrations, a sacred Islamic occasion centered on sacrifice, compassion, sharing, and gratitude.
Speaking during the distribution exercise in Makindye, Hajjat Namyalo reaffirmed President Museveni’s commitment to standing with ordinary Ugandans during important religious celebrations and difficult economic times.
“In the blessed spirit of Eid al-Adha, we are here to share with our Muslim brothers and sisters and ensure that vulnerable families can celebrate with dignity and happiness. This support comes directly from President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, who always remembers wananchi during such important moments,” Hajjat Namyalo said.
The ONC team distributed cows and assorted food items to mosques as residents expressed appreciation for the continued outreach efforts.
In Kiguli, Kisenyi II, the atmosphere was filled with excitement as residents and ghetto youth gave Hajjat Namyalo a heroic welcome upon her arrival. Crowds gathered to receive food packages and a bull donated to support disadvantaged families ahead of Eid festivities.
Community members described the gesture as timely and impactful, particularly for families struggling with economic hardships.
“We are grateful because many families would not have managed to celebrate Eid properly. This support has restored hope and happiness in our community,” one resident said.
Hajjat Namyalo used the occasion to call upon Muslims and Ugandans at large to embrace unity, peace, discipline, and love during the Eid celebrations.
She also emphasized that the ONC remains committed to supporting ordinary citizens through various empowerment initiatives under President Museveni’s wealth creation agenda.
“Immediately after Eid, we shall continue with our nationwide empowerment programmes targeting youth, women, and vulnerable groups because the President wants Ugandans to improve their livelihoods and fight poverty at household level,” she noted.
The ONC manager further encouraged young people to remain focused, hardworking, and united, adding that government empowerment programmes are intended to uplift communities and create sustainable opportunities.
Muslim leaders and local residents who received the donations commended both President Museveni and Hajjat Namyalo for what they described as consistent support toward Muslim communities and vulnerable households.
The donations form part of ONC’s broader community engagement efforts aimed at strengthening social welfare, promoting unity, and supporting underprivileged communities during major national and religious occasions.
