Panic! Hospital Shuts Down As “Ghosts” Rape Nurses, Patients

    By Swift Reporter

A health clinic in Zimbabwe’s Umzingwane District has reportedly been shut down after nurses and teachers claimed they were being sexually assaulted by mysterious “invisible creatures,” sparking fear and panic within the local community.

According to reports by Platforms Africa and ZimLive, the bizarre incidents occurred at Shale Clinic in Matabeleland South Province, where health workers allegedly abandoned duty after experiencing unexplained nighttime encounters believed by some villagers to involve tikoloshes supernatural beings associated with local folklore.

The situation has also reportedly spread to a nearby primary school, where teachers claim they are facing similar attacks.

One local resident, Themba Moyo, told ZimLive that two female nurses and a male health technician fled the clinic after complaining of repeated abuse.

“The clinic is closed because two female nurses and a male health technician ran away after complaining that they were being sexually abused,” Moyo reportedly said.

He claimed the workers would wake up with signs suggesting sexual activity had occurred during the night despite being alone.

Another villager, who spoke anonymously, alleged that the affected workers initially complained about exhaustion and sleepless nights before later describing disturbing experiences involving mysterious attacks.

The source further claimed that one male health technician woke up with swollen private parts after what he described as a violent nighttime encounter.

Fear has also reportedly gripped teachers at the nearby Shale Primary School, with some allegedly threatening to abandon work unless the matter is addressed.

Residents claim some female teachers have woken up outside their homes under strange circumstances, while others reported unexplained disturbances in their rooms.

The bizarre claims have triggered emergency meetings within the community, where villagers reportedly agreed to seek the intervention of prophets and traditional healers.

According to reports, a self-proclaimed prophet from Rusape conducted a cleansing ceremony and allegedly accused a local politician of being linked to the supposed supernatural occurrences.

The accusation reportedly caused tension in the area, leading to the arrest of the prophets after the matter was reported to police. They were later fined and released.

However, local traditional healer Headman Nkala reportedly dismissed the cleansing ritual, insisting the community needed assistance from what he described as “genuine” spiritual experts.

Authorities have not officially confirmed the allegations, and no scientific or medical explanation has yet been provided regarding the claims made by residents and workers.

The incident has nevertheless drawn widespread attention across Zimbabwe and on social media, with many expressing shock over the unusual reports while others questioned the role of superstition and fear in the unfolding crisis.

The closure of the clinic has also raised concerns about access to healthcare services in the rural community, where residents now face uncertainty amid the ongoing controversy.
