REVEALED: Who Is Alex Bidandi, The Lucky Guy Enjoying Sheilah Gashumba’s ‘Tiny Bugati’

For years, Sheilah Gashumba’s relationships have attracted considerable attention from Uganda’s entertainment and social media circles. But her current boyfriend, Alex Bidandi, has largely stayed away from the spotlight.

That privacy has now become a subject of public discussion after entertainment personality Evelyn Mic claimed that Sheilah and Alex had ended their relationship.

Sheilah has since pushed back strongly against the claims, insisting that while she is a public figure and can withstand scrutiny, her private partner should not be dragged into entertainment gossip.

So, who exactly is Alex Bidandi?

According to Sheilah, Alex is a Ugandan businessman and private individual with considerable means who operates largely away from the social media spotlight.

Sheilah says Alex’s world is primarily the business community, where he interacts with established Ugandan entrepreneurs rather than entertainment personalities and online commentators.

“I know they see that he is young because our age gap is about three or four years. But this is a businessperson who isn’t dealing with people like Evelyn Mic, he is dealing with big, proper Ugandan businessmen,” Sheilah said.

Unlike his celebrity girlfriend, Alex has maintained a relatively low public profile, with little known publicly about his personal life and business interests.

That contrast appears to be one of the reasons Sheilah has become particularly protective of his privacy.

Sheilah Denies Break-Up Claims

The latest controversy started after Evelyn Mic reportedly claimed during an entertainment gossip segment that Sheilah had separated from Alex.

Evelyn allegedly portrayed Sheilah as someone who frequently moves from one relationship to another and went on to discuss men she claimed the socialite had previously dated.

The remarks did not sit well with Sheilah.

During a YouTube interview with Kasuku and Frank Ntambi, Sheilah confronted the claims and maintained that bringing Alex into the discussion crossed a line.

“She kept saying, ‘Oh, I am sorry,’ but what is sorry going to help? It’s okay to talk about me because I am a public figure, but I know my rights. However, talking about Alex isn’t right,” Sheilah said.

Sheilah also addressed the couple’s age difference, saying it should not make Alex a target for public commentary.

According to her, the pair are separated by roughly three or four years.

Phone Call & Warning

Sheilah later shared a recording of a phone conversation she had with Evelyn following the remarks.

In the recording, Evelyn is heard apologising and reportedly promising to return to the programme to clarify or withdraw the claims.

The disagreement, however, escalated further, with Sheilah warning Evelyn about the potential professional consequences of spreading unverified information about other people.

Sheilah said she had the influence to push for Evelyn’s removal from her radio programme, while reminding her that media careers can be affected by the relationships people build and the information they put into the public domain.

“I have the capacity to go ahead and make sure she is off that show; I want her to dare me,” Sheilah said.

She further warned Evelyn to think about the long-term consequences of conflicts created through public commentary.

For now, the couple’s relationship remains a subject of public interest, but Sheilah insists that being associated with a celebrity does not automatically make Alex a public figure.

And while details about his business interests and personal wealth remain largely private, Sheilah’s description presents him as a young Ugandan businessman who has built his life away from the entertainment spotlight.
