Millions In Losses! King Saha ‘Taken By Armed Men’ Ahead Of His Kololo Concert

    By Swift Reporter

Ugandan singer King Saha was on Tuesday evening reportedly arrested at his residence in Kyanja, Kampala, following a security operation that witnesses said involved gunfire and left at least one person injured.

The reported arrest came just hours after the singer had been in Kampala city centre mobilising fans to attend his much-anticipated concert scheduled for Friday at Kololo Airstrip.

According to eyewitnesses and videos circulating on social media, a group of armed security personnel arrived at the singer’s residence in Kyanja and subsequently took him away.

Witnesses reported hearing gunshots during the operation, while one person was reportedly injured in the leg and rushed to hospital for treatment. The extent of the injuries had not been independently established by press time.

Videos shared online appeared to show a tense situation outside the singer’s residence, with people seen running for safety amid reports of gunfire.

The circumstances surrounding the reported arrest remain unclear. Authorities had not, by press time, issued an official statement confirming the operation, explaining the reason for the arrest or disclosing where the singer had been taken.

King Saha had earlier in the day been actively promoting his upcoming concert, moving around Kampala and encouraging fans to attend the Friday event at Kololo Airstrip.

He later returned to his residence in Kyanja, where the reported security operation took place.

News of the singer’s reported arrest has since triggered concern among his fans and members of Uganda’s entertainment industry, with calls for authorities to clarify his whereabouts and the circumstances surrounding the operation.

The incident has also raised questions over the fate of King Saha’s Friday concert, which has been heavily promoted in recent weeks and was expected to attract a large number of fans.

As of Tuesday evening, however, there was no official communication indicating whether the concert would proceed as scheduled.

More details are expected as authorities provide information regarding the reported arrest and the events that unfolded at the singer’s Kyanja residence.
